Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), thinking that we were going for Hajj. When we reached Makkah Mukarramah, it was announced that whoever among you does not have a sacrificial animal should come out of Ihram, and whoever has a sacrificial animal should remain in Ihram. So, the people performed Umrah and came out of Ihram, except for those who had a sacrificial animal. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also remained in the state of Ihram; he had one hundred camels with him. Meanwhile, Ali also came from Yemen, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him: "With what intention did you put on Ihram?" He replied: "I made the intention that, O Allah, I put on the same Ihram as Your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has put on." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him more than thirty camels, and both of them remained in the state of Ihram until the sacrificial animal reached its place.
