Musnad Ahmad Hadith 14664

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umm Malik Jahziyyah used to send clarified butter (ghee) as a gift to the Prophet (ﷺ) in a bucket. Once, her children asked her for curry, but she had nothing at that time. She got up and went to the bucket in which she used to send ghee to the Prophet (ﷺ), and saw that there was ghee in it. So she continued to use it for a long time as curry for her children, until one day she squeezed it out completely and then went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him the whole story. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked her, "Did you squeeze it out?" She said, "Yes." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If you had left it as it was, there would always have been ghee in it."
