حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: " قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ، فَجِئْتُ، فَقُمْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَنَهَانِي، (٤) فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَجَاءَ، ، صَاحِبٌ لِي، فَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُخَالِفًا بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once stood to perform the Maghrib prayer. I came and stood on the left side of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade me and made me stand on his right side. Then another person came, and both of us formed a row behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in prayer in a single garment, changing its two ends from one side to the other.
