حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَجْنِي (١) الْكَبَاثَ، فَقَالَ: " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَسْوَدِ مِنْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ أَطْيَبُهُ " قَالَ: قُلْنَا: وَكُنْتَ تَرْعَى الْغَنَمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَهَلْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا قَدْ رَعَاهَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were picking arak (Salvadora persica) fruit with the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Collect its black seeds, for they are very good." We asked, "Did you also tend sheep?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Yes, and every prophet has tended sheep."
