حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ: سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، يُسْأَلُ: هَلْ بَايَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، وَلَكِنْ صَلَّى بِهَا، وَلَمْ يُبَايِعْ عِنْدَ الشَّجَرَةِ، إِلَّا الشَّجَرَةَ الَّتِي باِلْحُدَيْبِيَةِ " (١) ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا دَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (٢) عَلَى بِئْرِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Someone asked Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (ﷺ) took the pledge of allegiance at Dhul-Hulaifah. He replied: No. There, the Prophet (ﷺ) only performed prayer, and the Prophet (ﷺ) did not take the pledge of allegiance under any tree except the tree at Hudaybiyyah. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) himself used to supplicate at the well of Hudaybiyyah.
