حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ: سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ: جَاءَ عَبْدٌ لِحَاطِبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ - أَحَدِ بَنِي أَسَدٍ - يَشْتَكِي سَيِّدَهُ، فَقَالَ: وَاللهِ (٢) يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَيَدْخُلَنَّ حَاطِبٌ النَّارَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " كَذَبْتَ، لَا يَدْخُلُهَا أَبَدًا قَدْ شَهِدَ (٣) بَدْرًا، وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the slave of Hatib bin Abi Balta'ah came to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) with a complaint against his master and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Hatib will surely enter Hell." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You are wrong; he will not enter Hell because he participated in the battles of Badr and Hudaybiyyah."
