حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، ح وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخَفَّافُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: مَرَّتْ بِنَا جِنَازَةٌ، فَقَامَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهَا جِنَازَةُ يَهُودِيٍّ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ فَزَعٌ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْجِنَازَةَ فَقُومُوا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a funeral passed by the Prophet (ﷺ), so he stood up and we also stood up. I said: O Messenger of Allah! This is the funeral of a Jew. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Death is a distressing matter, so whenever you see a funeral, stand up.
