Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ مُحَارِبُ بْنُ دِثَارٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ: سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَهْلَهُ طُرُوقًا "، أَوْ قَالَ: " كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَهُ طُرُوقًا " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) did not consider it good for a traveler to return to his home at night.
