English translation

Amr bin Thabit says that once Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by him. He asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "O Abu Abdur Rahman! Where are you intending to go?" He replied, "I am going to Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)." I also started walking with him. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "O Abu Saeed! I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) forbidding the eating of sacrificial meat, certain drinks, and visiting graveyards. But I have heard that you narrate a hadith from the Prophet (ﷺ) regarding this." He replied, "I heard with my own ears the Prophet (ﷺ) saying: 'I had forbidden you from keeping the meat of sacrifice (for more than three days), but now you may eat it and store it, for Allah has granted abundance. And I had forbidden you from certain drinks and nabidh, but now you may drink them, but (remember) every intoxicant is forbidden. And I had forbidden you from visiting graveyards, but now if you go there, do not utter any indecent words.'"
