The following Dua is recited before leaving home which serves as a reminder of our dependence on Allah and asking for His protection and guidance as we step out of our homes.

Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘alAllah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

بِسْمِ اللهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ
Meaning
“In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah and to Allah alone belongs all power and might.” (Tirmidhi)

Dua before riding the vehicle
Before entering a vehicle, Muslims start by saying Bismillah which is similar to the beginning of every action so they can get a blessing from Allah for doing it.

Allahumma hawwin ‘alaina safarana haza, watwi ‘anna bu’dahu, Allahumma antas-sohibu fis-safar wal-khalifatu fil-ahli. Allahumma inni a-‘uzu bika min wa’atha-is-safar, wa kabbati-manzar, wa su-i-lmunqalabi fil-mal wal-ahli

O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and God-consciousness (Taqwa) in this journey of ours, and we ask You (to enable us) for deeds that please You, O Allah, ease our journey and shorten its distance quickly. O Allah, You are The Companion on this journey and The Successor in our family (left behind), O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the difficulties of travel and being in a bad predicament, and I take refuge in You from returning to a bad outcome concerning wealth and family. Dua after Reaching your destination
After reaching the destination, Muslims recite this dua to seek protection from all forms of evil and harm that may be encountered after reaching the destination. It also expresses gratitude to Allah for a safe journey and seeks His continued protection and blessings.

“Allahumma rabbas samawatis sab’i wa ma azlalna, wa rabbal ardinas sab’i wa ma aqlalna, wa rabbash-shayatini wa ma adlalna, wa rabbar riyahi wa ma zaraina, as’aluka khaira hadzihil qaryah wa khaira ahliha, wa khaira ma fiha, wa a’udzubika min sharriha wa sharri ahliha, wa sharri ma fiha.”

اللّـهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّـمَوَاتِ السّـبْعِ وَمَا أَظْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الأَرَاضِيـنَ السّـبْعِ وَما أقْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الشَّيَـاطِينِ وَمَا أَضْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الرِّياحِ وَمَا ذَرَيْـنَ، أَسْـأَلُـكَ خَيْـرَ هذهِ الْقَـرْيَةِ وَخَيْـرَ أَهْلِـهَا، وَخَيْـرَ مَا فِيْهَا، وَأَعُـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّها وَشَـرِّ أَهْلِـها، وَشَـرِّ مَا فِيْهَا

“O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all that they envelop, Lord of the seven earths and all that they carry, Lord of the devils and all whom they misguide, Lord of the winds and all whom they whisk away. I ask You for the goodness of this village, the goodness of its inhabitants, and for all the goodness found within it and I take refuge with You from the evil of this village, the evil of its inhabitants, and from all the evil found within it.”
