Phrase Origin

It was narrated that Hudhaifah said: “I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he bowed and said when bowing: ‘Subhana Rabbial-azim .’ And when prostrating: ‘Subhana Rabbial-‘Ala .”
