وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًا
1
wal-nāziʿāti gharqan
— Transliteration
By those [angels] who extract with violence
— Saheeh International
Reciter:
Surah 79 · 46 verses

79 130
127
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًا
1
wal-nāziʿāti gharqan
— Transliteration
By those [angels] who extract with violence
— Saheeh International
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًا
2
wal-nāshiṭāti nashṭan
— Transliteration
And [by] those who remove with ease
— Saheeh International
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًا
3
wal-sābiḥāti sabḥan
— Transliteration
And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
— Saheeh International
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًا
4
fal-sābiqāti sabqan
— Transliteration
And those who race each other in a race
— Saheeh International
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا
5
fal-mudabirāti amran
— Transliteration
And those who arrange [each] matter,
— Saheeh International
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
6
yawma tarjufu l-rājifatu
— Transliteration
On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
— Saheeh International
تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
7
tatbaʿuhā l-rādifatu
— Transliteration
There will follow it the subsequent [one].
— Saheeh International
قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ
8
qulūbun yawma-idhin wājifatun
— Transliteration
Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
— Saheeh International
أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌ
9
abṣāruhā khāshiʿatun
— Transliteration
Their eyes humbled.
— Saheeh International
يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ
10
yaqūlūna a-innā lamardūdūna fī l-ḥāfirati
— Transliteration
They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
— Saheeh International
أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًا نَّخِرَةً
11
a-idhā kunnā ʿiẓāman nakhiratan
— Transliteration
Even if we should be decayed bones?
— Saheeh International
قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ
12
qālū til'ka idhan karratun khāsiratun
— Transliteration
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
— Saheeh International
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ
13
fa-innamā hiya zajratun wāḥidatun
— Transliteration
Indeed, it will be but one shout,
— Saheeh International
فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
14
fa-idhā hum bil-sāhirati
— Transliteration
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
— Saheeh International
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ
15
hal atāka ḥadīthu mūsā
— Transliteration
Has there reached you the story of Moses? -
— Saheeh International
إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى
16
idh nādāhu rabbuhu bil-wādi l-muqadasi ṭuwan
— Transliteration
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
— Saheeh International
ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ
17
idh'hab ilā fir'ʿawna innahu ṭaghā
— Transliteration
"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
— Saheeh International
فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ
18
faqul hal laka ilā an tazakkā
— Transliteration
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
— Saheeh International
وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ
19
wa-ahdiyaka ilā rabbika fatakhshā
— Transliteration
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"
— Saheeh International
فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْـَٔايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
20
fa-arāhu l-āyata l-kub'rā
— Transliteration
And he showed him the greatest sign,
— Saheeh International
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ
21
fakadhaba waʿaṣā
— Transliteration
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
— Saheeh International
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ
22
thumma adbara yasʿā
— Transliteration
Then he turned his back, striving.
— Saheeh International
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ
23
faḥashara fanādā
— Transliteration
And he gathered [his people] and called out
— Saheeh International
فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
24
faqāla anā rabbukumu l-aʿlā
— Transliteration
And said, "I am your most exalted lord."
— Saheeh International
فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ
25
fa-akhadhahu l-lahu nakāla l-ākhirati wal-ūlā
— Transliteration
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
— Saheeh International
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ
26
inna fī dhālika laʿib'ratan liman yakhshā
— Transliteration
Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].
— Saheeh International
ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا
27
a-antum ashaddu khalqan ami l-samāu banāhā
— Transliteration
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.
— Saheeh International
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا
28
rafaʿa samkahā fasawwāhā
— Transliteration
He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.
— Saheeh International
وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا
29
wa-aghṭasha laylahā wa-akhraja ḍuḥāhā
— Transliteration
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
— Saheeh International
وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ
30
wal-arḍa baʿda dhālika daḥāhā
— Transliteration
And after that He spread the earth.
— Saheeh International
أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا
31
akhraja min'hā māahā wamarʿāhā
— Transliteration
He extracted from it its water and its pasture,
— Saheeh International
وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا
32
wal-jibāla arsāhā
— Transliteration
And the mountains He set firmly
— Saheeh International
مَتَٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ
33
matāʿan lakum wali-anʿāmikum
— Transliteration
As provision for you and your grazing livestock.
— Saheeh International
فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
34
fa-idhā jāati l-ṭāmatu l-kub'rā
— Transliteration
But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -
— Saheeh International
يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ
35
yawma yatadhakkaru l-insānu mā saʿā
— Transliteration
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
— Saheeh International
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
36
waburrizati l-jaḥīmu liman yarā
— Transliteration
And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -
— Saheeh International
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ
37
fa-ammā man ṭaghā
— Transliteration
So as for he who transgressed
— Saheeh International
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
38
waāthara l-ḥayata l-dun'yā
— Transliteration
And preferred the life of the world,
— Saheeh International
فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
39
fa-inna l-jaḥīma hiya l-mawā
— Transliteration
Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
— Saheeh International
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ
40
wa-ammā man khāfa maqāma rabbihi wanahā l-nafsa ʿani l-hawā
— Transliteration
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
— Saheeh International
فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
41
fa-inna l-janata hiya l-mawā
— Transliteration
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
— Saheeh International
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا
42
yasalūnaka ʿani l-sāʿati ayyāna mur'sāhā
— Transliteration
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?
— Saheeh International
فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ
43
fīma anta min dhik'rāhā
— Transliteration
In what [position] are you that you should mention it?
— Saheeh International
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
44
ilā rabbika muntahāhā
— Transliteration
To your Lord is its finality.
— Saheeh International
إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا
45
innamā anta mundhiru man yakhshāhā
— Transliteration
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
— Saheeh International
كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا
46
ka-annahum yawma yarawnahā lam yalbathū illā ʿashiyyatan aw ḍuḥāhā
— Transliteration
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
— Saheeh International
