Chapter 1
Kharijah bin Salat (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his uncle that once he went to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). When he was returning, he passed by a people who had a madman whom they had bound with iron chains. His family members said, "We have heard that your companion has brought goodness. Does he have anything by which he can treat him?" He says, "I recited Surah Al-Fatihah over him twice daily for three days, and he was cured. Those people gave me a hundred sheep. I went to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and related this incident. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Take them, for by my life! Some people eat from unlawful incantations, while you have eaten from a lawful and true incantation.'"
