Hadith of Suwayd ibn Qays from the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٩٠٩٨ - حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: جَلَبْتُ أَنَا وَمَخْرَمَةُ (١) الْعَبْدِيُّ ثِيَابًا، ، مِنْ هَجَرَ قَالَ: فَأَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَاوَمَنَا فِي سَرَاوِيلَ، وَعِنْدَنَا وَزَّانُونَ يَزِنُونَ (١) بِالْأَجْرِ، فَقَالَ لِلْوَزَّانِ: " زِنْ وَأَرْجِحْ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Suwaid bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) that I and Makhrifah Abdi together imported cloth from a place called "Hajar." We presented ourselves before the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) bargained with us over a pair of trousers. At that time, there were some people with us who used to weigh out the money, giving it by weight. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to the one who weighed, "Weigh out the money for them and weigh it accurately."

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ (١) قَالَ: " بِعْتُ (٢) رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رِجْلَ سَرَاوِيلَ قَبْلَ الْهِجْرَةِ، فَأَرْجَحَ لِي " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Abu Safwan bin Umairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that before the migration, I sold a pair of trousers to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) weighed out its price for me while bending down.
