Hadith of Fadala al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ فَضَالَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ (١)، ١٩٠٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَرْبِ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْلَمْتُ، وَعَلَّمَنِي حَتَّى عَلَّمَنِي الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ لِمَوَاقِيتِهِنَّ قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَسَاعَاتٌ (٢) أُشْغَلُ فِيهَا، (٣) فَمُرْنِي (٤) بِجَوَامِعَ، فَقَالَ لِي: " إِنْ شُغِلْتَ فَلَا تُشْغَلْ عَنِ الْعَصْرَيْنِ " قُلْتُ: وَمَا الْعَصْرَانِ؟ قَالَ: " صَلَاةُ الْغَدَاةِ، وَصَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ " (٥)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Fadala Laithi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and accepted Islam. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) taught me some things and instructed me to perform the five daily prayers at their prescribed times. I said to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) that I am busy at those times, so please tell me some comprehensive things. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: If you are busy, then at least do not leave the "Asrain." I asked, what is meant by "Asrain"? The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The morning prayer and the Asr prayer.
