Chapter 1
It is narrated from Khalid Adwani (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) came to the tribe of Thaqif to seek help, they saw the Prophet (ﷺ) in the eastern part of Thaqif. At that time, the Prophet (ﷺ) was standing, leaning on a bow or a staff. I heard him reciting the complete Surah "Was-Samaa'i wat-Tariq." At that time, I was a polytheist, but even then I memorized it by heart. Later, after becoming a Muslim, I continued to recite it. The people of the tribe of Thaqif called me and asked, "What did you hear this man reciting?" I recited that Surah to them. The people of Quraysh who were present among their companions said, "We know our companion very well. If we were certain that what he is saying is true, we would surely follow him."
