Hadith of Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Umairah Al-Azdi (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمِيرَةَ الْأَزْدِيِّ (١)، ١٧٨٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ (٢) أَبِي عَمِيرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا مِنَ النَّاسِ (٣) نَفْسُ مُسْلِمٍ يَقْبِضُهَا اللهُ (٤) تُحِبُّ أَنْ تَعُودَ إِلَيْكُمْ، وَأَنَّ لَهَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا، غَيْرُ الشَّهِيدِ "، وقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَمِيرَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَأَنْ أُقْتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِي الْمَدَرُ وَالْوَبَرُ " (٥)، ،

It is narrated from Ibn Abi Umairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the soul of every Muslim, except the martyr, is taken, he wishes to return to you and to receive the blessings of the world and whatever is in it. It is narrated from Ibn Abi Umairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Being martyred in the way of Allah is more beloved to me than camels and goats.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمِيرَةَ (١) الْأَزْدِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَقَالَ: " اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا وَاهْدِ بِهِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Ibn Abi Umairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ), mentioning Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: O Allah! Make him a guide and one who is guided, and through him convey guidance to the people.
