Hadith of Qays ibn Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ (١)، ١٧٨٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: فَحَدَّثَنِي الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، قَالَ: " وُلِدْتُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفِيلِ، فَنَحْنُ لِدَانِ (٢) ، وُلِدْنَا مَوْلِدًا وَاحِدًا " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Qais bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were born in the Year of the Elephant; in this regard, both of us were born in the same year.
