Hadith of Khurashah ibn al-Harith, who was among the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ (١) وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٧٥٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَشْهَدَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ قَتِيلًا، لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قُتِلَ ظُلْمًا فَيُصِيبَهُ السَّخَطُ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Khursha (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: None of you should remain present with a murdered person (at the time he is being killed), because it is possible that he was killed while being oppressed, and those present there may also incur the displeasure of Allah.
