Hadith of Sulayman ibn Amr ibn Al-Ahwas from his father (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ (١)، ١٦٠٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَبِيبُ بْنُ غَرْقَدَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ حَجَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَجْنِي جَانٍ إِلَّا عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، لَا يَجْنِي وَالِدٌ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ، وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ عَلَى وَالِدِهِ " (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Amr bin Ahwas that he was present with the Prophet (peace be upon him) at the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If a person commits a crime, he himself will bear its punishment. A father will not be held accountable for the crime of his child, nor will a child be held accountable for the crime of his father.
