Hadith of Umm Karz al-Khuzaiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her)

musnad-ahmad/1325 · Musnad Ahmad

Chapter 1

It is narrated from Umm Qarz (may Allah be pleased with her) that a small boy was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ), and he urinated on the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that water be sprinkled on that spot. Then a girl was brought, and she urinated, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that it be washed.

Abu Al-Sha’tha says that once I set out with the intention of performing Hajj. I entered the Sacred House (the Ka’bah), and when I reached between two pillars, I went and clung to a wall. In the meantime, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) came and, standing beside me, performed four rak’ahs. When he finished the prayer, I asked him where the Prophet (ﷺ) had prayed inside the Ka’bah. He pointed to a place and said: “Here. Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) told me that the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed here.” I asked him how many rak’ahs the Prophet (ﷺ) had prayed. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: “This is what I have always blamed myself for, that I spent a long time with him but never asked how many rak’ahs the Prophet (ﷺ) had prayed.” The following year, I again set out with the intention of Hajj and stood at the same place where I had stood the previous year. In the meantime, Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) came and again performed four rak’ahs there.
