Hadith of Salma (may Allah be pleased with her)

حَدِيثُ سَلْمَى، ٢٧٦١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْمَوَالِي، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، سَلْمَى خَادِمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: مَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا قَطُّ يَشْكُو إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَجَعًا فِي رَأْسِهِ إِلَّا قَالَ: " احْتَجِمْ " وَلَا وَجَعًا فِي رِجْلَيْهِ إِلَّا قَالَ: " اخْضِبْهُمَا (١) بِالْحِنَّاءِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Salma (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the servant of the Prophet (ﷺ), that whenever I heard anyone complaining of a headache in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ), the Prophet (ﷺ) would say to them, "Get cupping done." And whenever anyone complained of pain in their feet, the Prophet (ﷺ) would say, "Apply henna on them."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَوَالِي، حَدَّثَنَا فَائِدٌ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ (١) ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ (٢) ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ، سَلْمَى قَالَتْ: مَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَعًا فِي رَأْسِهِ إِلَّا قَالَ: " احْتَجِمْ " وَلَا اشْتَكَى إِلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ وَجَعًا، ، فِي رِجْلَيْهِ إِلَّا قَالَ: " اخْضِبْ (١) رِجْلَيْكَ " (٢)، ،
