Chapter 1

It is narrated from Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever saw me in a dream, indeed he has seen me."

Abu Malik says that I asked my father (Tariq, may Allah be pleased with him), "Dear father! You have offered prayer behind the Prophet (ﷺ), Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them), and here in Kufa, you have also offered prayer behind Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) for almost five years. Did these personalities recite Qunoot?" He replied, "Son! This is a newly invented thing."

Yazid narrated to us, he said: Abu Malik narrated to us, he said: "My father had prayed behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he was sixteen years old, and behind Abu Bakr, and Umar, and Uthman. So I said to him: Did they used to perform qunut? He said: No, my son, it is an innovation."

It is narrated from Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that when someone came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! When I supplicate to my Lord, what should I say?" the Prophet (ﷺ) would say, "Say this: « اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ، وَارْحَمْنِي ، وَاهْدِنِي ، وَارْزُقنِي » 'O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me guidance, and provide for me.'" After that, the Prophet (ﷺ) extended his thumb and folded the remaining four fingers, and said, "These things are comprehensive for both this world and the Hereafter."

It is narrated from Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying to a people that whoever acknowledges the oneness of Allah and rejects other false deities, his life and wealth become protected and worthy of respect, and his reckoning will be with Allah.

It is narrated from Tariq (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying to a people that whoever acknowledges the oneness of Allah and rejects other false deities, his life and wealth become protected and worthy of respect, and his reckoning will be with Allah.
