Hadith of Qarib (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ قَارِبٍ (١)، ٢٧٢٠٢ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ قَارِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ "، قَالَ رَجُلٌ: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ؟ قَالَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ: " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ "، يُقَلِّلُهُ سُفْيَانُ بِيَدِهِ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَقَالَ فِي تِيكَ كَأَنَّهُ يُوَسِّعُ يَدَهُ (٢)، ، .................................، ، .................................، ،

It is narrated from Qarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads." A man submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Pray for those who shorten their hair as well. The Prophet (ﷺ) again said: "O Allah! Forgive those who shave their heads." The fourth time, the Prophet (ﷺ) also included those who shorten their hair in his supplication.
