Completion of the hadith of Sakhr Al-Ghamidi (may Allah be pleased with him)

تَمَامُ حَدِيثِ صَخْرٍ الْغَامِدِيِّ (١)، ١٥٥٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ، عَنْ صَخْرٍ الْغَامِدِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اللهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا " قَالَ: وَكَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً - أَوْ جَيْشًا - بَعَثَهُمْ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ قَالَ: وَكَانَ صَخْرٌ رَجُلًا تَاجِرًا، وَكَانَ يَبْعَثُ تِجَارَتَهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ، فَأَثْرَى وَكَثُرَ مَالُهُ (٢)،

It is narrated from Sakhr Ghamidi that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate: "O Allah, bless my Ummah in their early hours." The Prophet (ﷺ), whenever he sent out an army, would send it in the early part of the day. The narrator of the hadith, Sakhr, was a merchant; he also used to send his workers early in the morning. As a result, he acquired so much wealth that he did not know where to keep his wealth and property.

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ: أَنْبَأَنِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَارَةَ بْنَ حَدِيدٍ - رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ، ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ صَخْرًا الْغَامِدِيَّ - رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَزْدِ - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا " قَالَ: وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً بَعَثَهُمْ أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ، وَكَانَ صَخْرٌ رَجُلًا تَاجِرًا، وَكَانَ لَهُ غِلْمَانٌ، فَكَانَ يَبْعَثُ غِلْمَانَهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ، قَالَ: فَكَثُرَ مَالُهُ حَتَّى كَانَ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ يَضَعُهُ (١)، ،
