Hadith of a man (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ، ٢٣٤٩٥ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ (١) أَوْ أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ: " اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا، وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا، وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا، وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا " (٢)، ،

Abu Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that when the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) offered the funeral prayer, he would supplicate: O Allah! Forgive our living and our deceased, our elders and our children, our men and our women, and those present and those absent.
