Hadith of a man from the Ansar (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، ٢٣٤٧٤ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَيَحْيَى بْنُ جَعْدَةَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: ذَكَرُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَوْلَاةً لِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّهَا تَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ وَتَصُومُ النَّهَارَ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَكِنِّي أَنَا أَنَامُ وَأُصَلِّي، وَأَصُومُ وَأُفْطِرُ، فَمَنْ اقْتَدَى بِي فَهُوَ مِنِّي، وَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ سُنَّتِي فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي، إِنَّ لِكُلِّ عَمَلٍ شِرَّةً ثُمَّ فَتْرَةً، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى بِدْعَةٍ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ فَتْرَتُهُ إِلَى سُنَّةٍ فَقَدْ اهْتَدَى " (١)، ،

It is narrated from an Ansari companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that once some people mentioned before the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) a slave woman from Banu Abdul Muttalib, saying that she spends the night in prayer and fasts during the day. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "But I sleep and I pray, I fast and I also leave fasting. So whoever follows my way is from me, and whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me. Every deed has a period of enthusiasm, which eventually comes to an end. So whoever’s enthusiasm ends in innovation has gone astray, and whoever’s enthusiasm ends in Sunnah has found guidance."

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: غَدَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَبِيحَةَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَقَدْ تَغَدَّيْنَا فَقَالَ: " أَصُمْتُمْ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ؟ "، قَالَ: قُلْنَا: قَدْ تَغَدَّيْنَا، قَالَ: " فَأَتِمُّوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ " (١)، ،

Abdur Rahman bin Salamah Khuza'i (RA) narrates from his uncle that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to the people of the tribe of Aslam on the day of Ashura (10th Muharram): "Fast on this day." They said, "We have already eaten and drunk." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Then do not eat or drink for the rest of the day."

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ حَسْنَاءَ بِنْتِ مُعَاوِيَةَ مِنْ بَنِي صُرَيْمٍ قَالَتْ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ؟ قَالَ: " النَّبِيُّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَالشَّهِيدُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَالْمَوْلُودُ وَالْوَلِيدَةُ (١) " (٢)، ،

Hasna, who was a woman from Banu Sareem, narrates from her uncle that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saying: The Prophet will be in Paradise, the martyr will be in Paradise, newborn children will be in Paradise, and those children who were buried alive will also be in Paradise.
