Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَوَدِدْتُ أَنْ أَغْزُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَأُقْتَلَ، ثُمَّ أَغْزُوَ فَأُقْتَلَ، ثُمَّ أَغْزُوَ فَأُقْتَلَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, I wish that I fight in the path of Allah and attain martyrdom, then be granted life again, and participate in jihad and be martyred, then participate in jihad and be martyred again.
