حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الصَّاغَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُيَسَّرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا، وَإِذَا قَرَأَ فَأَنْصِتُوا، وَإِذَا قَالَ: {وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة: ٧] ، فَقُولُوا: آمِينَ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا، وَإِذَا قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، فَقُولُوا: رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى جَالِسًا، فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا أَجْمَعُونَ " (٤)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The Imam is appointed only so that he may be followed, so when he says the takbeer, you also say the takbeer; when he recites (Qur'an), you remain silent; when he says "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," you say "Rabbana wa lakal hamd"; and when he prays sitting, then all of you also pray sitting.
