حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " ثَلَاثَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ: عِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ، وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ، وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ، إِذَا حَمِدَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: There are three things that are the right of every Muslim upon another Muslim: to visit the sick, to attend the funeral prayer, and to respond to the one who sneezes (by saying "Yarhamuk Allah") when he says "Alhamdulillah."
