Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ رَبِّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ إِلَّا شَقِيٌّ "، قِيلَ: وَمَنِ الشَّقِيُّ؟ قَالَ: " الَّذِي لَا يَعْمَلُ بِطَاعَةٍ، وَلَا يَتْرُكُ لِلَّهِ مَعْصِيَةً " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Only the wretched will enter Hell. Someone asked, "Who is the wretched?" He replied: The one who does not do any good deed and does not refrain from any sinful act.
