Original Arabic
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَمْ تَحِلَّ الْغَنَائِمُ لِمَنْ قَبْلَنَا، ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللهَ رَأَى ضَعْفَنَا وَعَجَزَنَا، فَطَيَّبَهَا لَنَا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: It was not made lawful for anyone before us to use the spoils of war, but when Allah saw our weakness and humility, He made it lawful for us.
