Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: " أَنَّ رَجُلًا رَفَعَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَغُفِرَ لَهُ " (١)، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مَرْفُوعٌ وَلَكِنْ سُفْيَانُ قَصَّرَ فِي رَفْعِهِ "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated, most likely as a marfu’ hadith, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man removed a thorny branch from the path of the Muslims, and due to the blessing of this act, he was forgiven.
