حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، (١)، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: خَيَّرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا وَامْرَأَةً وَابْنًا لَهُمَا، فَخَيَّرَ الْغُلَامَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا غُلَامُ، هَذَا أَبُوكَ، وَهَذِهِ أُمُّكَ اخْتَرْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) gave a man, a woman, and their son the choice, and while giving the boy the choice, he said: O boy, this is your father and this is your mother; whichever of them you wish to go with, you may choose.
