حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ - أَنَا سَأَلْتُهُ (١) -، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ، وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَهَا حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْ شَأْنِهَا، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ، أَصْغَرُهُمَا أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone will receive a reward equal to one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive a reward equal to two qirats, of which the smaller or one qirat is equal to the mountain of Uhud.
