[قال عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] : حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ (١) : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي ابْنٌ لِي، فَقَالَ: " ابْنُكَ هَذَا؟ " قُلْتُ: أَشْهَدُ بِهِ، قَالَ: " لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ، وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ "، قَالَ: وَرَأَيْتُ الشَّيْبَ أَحْمَرَ (٢)، •
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I, along with my son, presented myself before the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). After a short while, the Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Is this your son?" I said, "I bear witness to that." Upon this, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Remember! He is not responsible for any of your crimes, and you are not responsible for any of his crimes." And I saw that the Prophet (ﷺ) had red hair.
