حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ هِلَالٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو: حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ، وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى الله عَنْهُ " (١)، ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: [هُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] : " هَذَا خَطَأٌ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ: الْحَكَمُ، عَنْ سَيْفٍ، عَنْ رُشَيْدٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ،
Translation
English translation
Hilal says that I came to Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "I ask you about that hadith which you yourself heard from the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), not what is in the Torah." He replied: "I heard the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) say: The true Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe. And the true emigrant (muhajir) is the one who refrains from what Allah has forbidden."
