حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعْدٍ (٣) ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَسْأَلُكَ عَمَّا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَا أَسْأَلُكَ عَنِ التَّوْرَاةِ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ، ، رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu Sa‘d says that a man came to Ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "I ask you about the hadith which you yourself heard from the Prophet (ﷺ); I do not ask about what is in the Torah." He replied: "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: The true Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe."
