English translation

Farzdaq bin Hanan once said to his companions, "Shall I not narrate to you a hadith which my ears have heard, my heart has preserved, and I have not forgotten it till now? Once, I set out with Ubaidullah bin Hida on the road to Syria. We passed by Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him). After that, while mentioning the hadith, he said: 'A brave and harsh-natured Bedouin from your tribe came and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Where should migration be made? Is it wherever you are, or towards a specific region? Is this command for a particular people, or will migration cease after your passing?' The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) remained silent for a while. Then he asked, 'Where is the person who asked about migration?' He said, 'O Messenger of Allah! I am here.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'When you establish prayer and continue to give zakat, then you are a muhajir (migrant), even if your death occurs in Hadramaut, which is a region of Yamamah.' Then that man stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, will the clothes of the people of Paradise be made, or will they be extracted by splitting the fruit of Paradise?' The people were amazed at the Bedouin's question. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'What amazes you? An ignorant man is asking a scholar.' Then, after remaining silent for a while, he said, 'Where is the one who asked about the clothes of the people of Paradise?' He said, 'I am here.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'The clothes of the people of Paradise will be extracted by splitting the fruit of Paradise.'"
