حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، سَمِعْتُ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ، قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً، وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ، وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Convey from me, even if it is only one verse. You may also mention the stories of the Children of Israel, there is no harm in it. And whoever attributes a lie to me should prepare his abode in Hell."
