حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرٌ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ (١) : أَخْبَرَنَا فِطْرٌ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الرَّحِمَ مُعَلَّقَةٌ بِالْعَرْشِ، وَلَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْوَاصِلَ مَنْ إِذَا قَطَعَتْهُ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا (٢) " قَالَ يَزِيدُ: الْمُوَاصِلُ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The womb (ties of kinship) is suspended with the Throne. The one who only reciprocates is not truly upholding the ties of kinship. Truly, the one who upholds the ties of kinship is the one who, when someone severs relations with him, he joins relations with them."
