حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخَيَّاطُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْطَعَ الزُّبَيْرَ حُضْرَ فَرَسِهِ، بِأَرْضٍ، ، يُقَالُ لَهَا: ثُرَيْرٌ، فَأَجْرَى الْفَرَسَ حَتَّى قَامَ، ثُمَّ رَمَى بِسَوْطِهِ، فَقَالَ: " أَعْطُوهُ حَيْثُ بَلَغَ (١) السَّوْطُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) granted Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) a piece of land called Sharir as a fief: "And the manner was that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) mounted a swift horse and made it run, then stopped at a place, threw his whip, and said: 'Give Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) the land up to where this whip has reached.'"
