حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ، رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى هَذَا الْكِتَابَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ، وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ، وَرَجُلٌ أَعْطَاهُ (١) اللهُ تَعَالَى مَالًا فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ، آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ، وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
This prophetic saying is narrated from Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that envy (desire) is not permissible except towards two persons: one is the person whom Allah has granted the wealth of the Qur'an and he remains engaged in its recitation day and night; and the other is the person whom Allah has granted wealth and property, and he is made to spend it in the way of truth.
