حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَامَ رَجُلٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَى مِنْ أَيْنَ نُهِلُّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: " يُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ، وَيُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ، وَيُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ " قَالَ: وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَوْ يَقُولُونَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " وَيُهِلُّ مُهِلُّ (١) أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ أَلَمْلَمَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man asked the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ): "From where should a person enter into the state of Ihram?" The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "For the people of Madinah, it is Dhu'l-Hulayfah; for the people of Sham, it is Juhfah; for the people of Yemen, it is Yalamlam; and for the people of Najd, it is Qarn." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that later people made Dhat 'Irq analogous to Qarn.
