Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ مِنَ (٢) الْحَيَاءِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " دَعْهُ فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once an Ansari man was advising his brother regarding modesty (saying, why do you have so much modesty). The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "Leave him, for modesty is a part of faith."
