Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُجِبْهُ، عُرْسًا كَانَ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When any of you is invited by his brother, he should accept it, whether it is a wedding invitation or an invitation to something else."
