حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْعِشَاءِ، فَلَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى أَسْمَاءِ صَلَاتِكُمْ (٢) ، فَإِنَّهُمْ يُعْتِمُونَ عَنِ الْإِبِلِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Do not let the Bedouins overpower you regarding the name of your prayer. Remember, its name is the 'Isha prayer. At that time, they milk their camels (and for this reason, they call the 'Isha prayer 'Atamah)."
