حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى، وَمُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ "، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ كَانُوا يَتَبَايَعُونَ ذَلِكَ الْبَيْعَ، يَبْتَاعُ الرَّجُلُ بِالشَّارِفِ حَبَلَ الْحَبَلَةِ، فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: " حَبَلَ الْحَبَلَةِ فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale involving deception: Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that in the days of ignorance, people used to sell in such a way that by giving a she-camel, they would buy the unborn offspring in the womb of a pregnant she-camel (and would say that when its offspring is born, I will take it). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade this.
