Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْمُصَوِّرُونَ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ: أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the image-makers will be subjected to punishment and it will be said to them: 'Put a soul into what you have created and give them life as well.'"
