حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ: حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَسْتَنُّ، فَأَعْطَى أَكْبَرَ الْقَوْمِ وَقَالَ: " إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُكَبِّرَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
Narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: Once I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) using a miswak. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave that miswak to the oldest person among those present and said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) has commanded me to give this miswak to an elder.
